Less than 1% of Realtors use video…

By Aaron Seekford | April 29, 2010

You read the headline. It’s true and pretty incredible/sad/unbelievable in the YouTube age.

My social media guy, Jesse, recently attended Max Pigman’s conference on how to better market real estate in 2010. He shared this statistic with me and it really surprised me. With each listing I receive here at Arlington Realty, I have award-winning local photographers (Denise and Steve Smallwood) create a customized  YouTube video. We then embed this video on several different sites.

If Jesse gained anything from the conference, it’s that you have to continue to find new ways to get the word out. People simply aren’t reading housing books or driving around neighborhoods looking for signs like they did in the golden days. They are finding homes on the Internet… and that’s where we will continue to explore and find new ways to reach people and sell some homes.

In the meantime, it’s nice to know that we’re in that 1% that Max spoke of!
